The most successful business-people do not have a work-life and a home-life. They make their living from something they enjoy - rather than to make money, although making money can be a nice side-line! - and they enjoy their time outside of work as well. In fact they don't distinguish between the two. They mostly don't suffer from stress. They are typically themselves at work too. They don't put on a mask or present a persona. They're authentic: honest but sensitive and responsible in their dealings with other people. They communicate well because other people recognise their authenticity. Where they are able to leave their ego behind, true charisma shines through them.
How I can help
My approach to professional coaching is all about you finding yourself, and being able to be yourself, in your work. You'll be clear about whether or how what you do fits with your real and current needs. With self-awareness comes an understanding of what success means to you, and how you can achieve it.
You'll discover there is no distinction between home and work; you have only one life regardless of what you happen to be doing at any time. Coaching with me will help you solve conflicts and tensions between your work and home-life.
Greater self-awareness will make you better at understanding and responding to the people you work with in an authentic way. It will enable you to communicate better - with a focus on what's important right now, at this moment, rather than being muddied by concerns about relationships, authority and competition.
Professional coaching at work
There are a variety of applications for my professional coaching approach:
- Mentoring and support for SME Directors and owners. Running a small business can be lonely and isolating, and the pressure can be intense. Coaching can enable you to keep things in perspective, master stress and anxiety, and help you to recapture the passion, fun and sense of adventure that drove you to set your business up in the first place.
- Business coaching. Sometimes businesses, as well as people, lose their way. Business coaching can help you rediscover vision and direction for your business, be clear about what your objectives are and why you have set them, as well as re-energising your team to make sure you achieve your business goals.
- Leadership coaching for senior personnel in larger businesses. Leaders in larger businesses often need someone to talk to, but feel that they can't share openly with colleagues. Coaching can provide an outlet, a safe place to ask questions of yourself as well as somewhere to develop a more authentic leadership style - one which enthuses and engages staff, and encourages them to follow with enthusiasm.
- Professional development coaching for people at all stages of their career. All of us reach a crossroads at different points in our careers, where we question what we do for a living, and ask whether another path might deliver greater fulfilment. Coaching can help bring you to a point of clarity about your work, and help you make uncluttered decisions about how to make the most of your potential.
How we work together
I will work with you or your team in confidential one-to-one sessions conducted face-to-face or by telephone (after an initial face-to-face meeting). Face-to-face sessions can take place at my office in Haslemere, in Surrey, or at your offices. My fees are £100 per hour including travel time.

What people have said
Working with Jeremy was highly motivating, and helped me make some important changes in my life and career. He's a coach - a facilitator - who inspires you to understand your motivations, and be and do your best. High energy and a positive outlook - Jeremy's a joy to work with!
Riccardo Ottolenghi, Consultant - Strategy & Marketing Practice, PA Consulting
Jeremy is a highly intuitive person. He can bring out the best in people coaching them through challenges, for example a fear of presenting, or how to deal with difficult circumstances at work. His natural, warm and empathetic style enables individuals to make their own realisations; this really is enjoyable learning in my book! Jeremy is also extremely creative; having natural associative abilities which help him and the people around him find new opportunities and inspiration.
