Who I am and what I do
My name is
For individuals as for businesses, I believe there's real benefit in having the opportunity to step outside of the day-to-day and reflect, in being able to refresh outmoded attitudes, break repeated patterns of behaviour, take apart structures that are no longer relevant, and rediscover their true identity. I like to think of this as being about authenticity - being all you really are as an individual, being all you really can be as a business. In my experience, with authenticity comes a kind of openness and creativity that leads to new ideas, and new ways of doing things. My role is to facilitate this journey to authenticity.
I've always been interested in people - what drives and motivates them, how they think, feel and behave. I've spent 15 years using in-depth research as a basis for advising corporations on people aspects of their business, the last 10 running my own consultancies. In 2004, I came across Unitive coaching, an approach to personal and professional development based on insights drawn from humanistic, Jungian and Gestalt psychology and existentialist philosophy. I qualified as a Unitive coach in 2008, and have also trained extensively in and used person-centred, graphic facilitation techniques.
